Information we collect and why
When you browse, place an order, create an account or contact us, we and our service providers collect information such as your name, email, billing and shipping addresses, phone number if supplied, order and payment transaction details, account information, correspondence, IP address, device/browser information and use of our website. Payment details are handled through checkout and payment providers; do not send full payment-card information by email.
We use information to operate the store, process payments, print and deliver orders, provide support and legally required remedies, prevent fraud, secure and improve the website, comply with tax and other legal obligations, and send marketing where permitted and with consent when required. You can unsubscribe from marketing without affecting order-related messages.
Service providers and disclosures
Shopify hosts the store and processes data to provide checkout, security and other services. We share information needed for orders with payment processors, Printify and its print providers, shipping carriers and other service providers. These providers receive information necessary for their work. We may also disclose information where required by law, to protect rights or safety, with your direction or consent, or in a lawful business transfer. Shopify may process some information for its own purposes as described in its Consumer Privacy Policy (https://www.shopify.com/legal/privacy/app-users). Shopify privacy requests may also be submitted at https://privacy.shopify.com/en.
Cookies and choices
Shopify and related services use cookies or similar technologies for checkout, cart contents, preferences, security and website analytics. Non-essential cookies and any advertising features are subject to applicable consent and opt-out requirements. Use the website's privacy controls where available and your browser settings to manage cookies; disabling necessary cookies may affect checkout. Where applicable law requires it, we honor recognized opt-out preference signals. Contact us to request an opt-out of any sale, sharing or targeted advertising covered by applicable law. We do not sell children's personal information.
Children
Our books are for children, but this website and purchases are intended for parents, guardians and other adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 or use children's information for targeted advertising. Children should not create accounts or submit personal information. A parent or guardian who believes a child has supplied information should contact fai.fiber@gmail.com so we can investigate and delete it as required by law.
Retention, security and international processing
We retain information only as needed for orders, customer support, tax and legal obligations, fraud prevention and legitimate business records. We use reasonable safeguards, but no system is perfectly secure. We and our providers may process or store information in Switzerland, Canada, the United States or other countries, where privacy laws may differ. We apply safeguards and transfer mechanisms as required by applicable law.
Your rights and complaints
Depending on your location, including under PIPEDA and applicable provincial Canadian or US privacy laws, you may request access, correction, deletion, portability, information about disclosures, withdrawal of consent, or an opt-out of covered sale, sharing or targeted advertising. Legal exceptions may apply, such as retaining tax records. We may reasonably verify identity and will respond within applicable legal deadlines. We will not unlawfully discriminate for exercising rights. You may use an authorized agent where law permits. To request assistance, withdraw consent or challenge our handling of information, email fai.fiber@gmail.com. You may also contact the relevant privacy regulator, including the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or your provincial authority.
We may update this policy and will post the revised date and provide further notice where required.
